Update from St. Stephens

Hope all of you and your family and friends are staying well during the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems strange not to be with you in person on Sunday morning at St. Stephen’s. I know it is difficult for all of us to be apart from our St. Stephen’s family. As some places around us slowly begin to re-open following the quarantine, I wanted to touch base with you about our plans at St. Stephen’s. It is our intention to continue to stand in support of the most vulnerable among us by continuing with online worship only at least through the end of June. Our online services can be found at www.saint-stephens.info or www.facebook.com/ststephensferguson. One change will be that our online services for June will be recorded in the sanctuary at St. Stephen’s again, and David Doran will be back playing the organ for the online service. We know many of you are missing this sacred space and hope you will enjoy seeing it as the backdrop of our online worship once again. We will be alternating between the Morning Prayer Service and the Spiritual Communion Service.

Our building will remain closed, with the possible exception of using our kitchen in support of our food ministries to provide drive through meals for Clay Cafe. We are continuing to provide financial assistance to area food pantries and others in need. Please call or email the church office at 314.521.0138 or episcopalians@gmail.com if you or someone you know needs assistance. Our staff and vestry are continuing to meet via Zoom. Our Discernment Team is continuing their work from home and by email. Since the building will remain closed, all summer programs have either been moved to an online format or canceled. Please reach out to your fellow parishioners, friends and neighbors during this time. It is important to stay
connected to each other even if we cannot yet meet in person.

Carol, our Parish Administrator is continuing to monitor phone calls and mail. Pledges, offerings, and/or contributions to the church or Food Pantry can be made through Paypal at www.saint-stephens.info or www.facebook.com/ststephensferguson or can be mailed to the church at:

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church
33 N. Clay Ave.
Ferguson, MO 63135

If you need something you can call or email Carol at 314.521.0138 or
episcopalians@gmail.com. If you do not reach Carol, please leave a message and she will call you back. If you have an emergency, please call Rev. Sujanna at 314.737.7796 or Susan Fazio at 314.954.3706. You should be receiving a typed copy of the Sunday Service by email or regular mail. If you are not receiving it and would like to, please call or email Carol. Please continue to pray for all who have been affected by COVID-19, and for our mission and ministry.

May God bless you and keep you.
