but are all TRULY welcome

I often think when I drive by a church that has a sign that says “All are welcome” well, is there a church where that is not true?

Sadly, there are churches where people are excluded because of their gender, who they love, how they vote or even if they disagree with their clergy person about… well pretty much anything.

When we say, all are welcome, we mean ALL   We are an open communion church where everyone is welcome to receive the bread and the cup. We ordain people of all sorts. And most of all we think God offers us one thing and one thing only. LOVE – for ourselves, for one another, for creation as a way to be fully alive.

So please know that God Loves YOU! First and foremost. The rest as they say, is simply details.

Blessings and peace to you!

  1. This is the complete reason I have always believed in the Episcopal Church and have been a follower of St. Stephens for over 50 years. I grew up in this church and it will always have a special place in my heart for the very reasons you mentioned. I can feel the love when I step in the doors. Bless us all.
